A lot of people think I'm crazy because I'm not a massive fan of chocolate. On top of that there shocked to learn that I make one of the best chocolate cakes they've ever had. Honestly, most people simply do not think it... that's until they check it out. My chocolate cake has established quite a reputation for itself through the years, dating back to when I very first made it as a surprise for my mom's birthday and I was 14 years old. I came across a recipe and it worked. It not only worked, it worked very well so that now, over 25 years afterwards, I nevertheless get requests to make it for each birthday, anniversary, holiday and virtually any other special event that comes up.
I do recognize that it is a good cake, but between not being a huge chocolate enthusiast and not being a huge cake enthusiast, I just can't get all that excited about it. The strange thing though, is that I completely love chocolate Brownies! It's probably a good thing that my friends and family are bigger enthusiasts of the chocolate cake because I'm less likely to overindulge (or even indulge at all really), then I will be if I was constantly making these dense, delicious chocolate brownies that I'm about to share with you here.
So be warned... coming from somebody who normally can "take it or depart it" when it comes to chocolate he baked items, these are killer. I would highly recommend which you have some notes at the ready when these things come out of the oven.
So without further ado, let's have a look at putting these puppies jointly.
Here's a list of ingredients you will need for Recipe for Chocolate Brownies
1 2/3 cups sugar
1/2 sticks of butter (3/4 cup)
2 tablespoons of strong brewed coffee
1 tablespoon milk
3 eggs
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
1/3 cup flour
1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cups chocolate chips
1/2 cup walnuts
Grease a 9 x 13" baking pan and place your oven to 350 degrees. Combine the following ingredients jointly in a blending bowl and beat well; sugar, butter, coffee and milk. Next, add the eggs and vanilla and completely mix those in. Now mix in the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt, followed by the chocolate chips once everything is at a good consistency. Pour this blend into your greased baking pan and sprinkle walnuts over the top.
Now location this into your preheated, 350 degrees oven and bake for about 20 to 22 minutes. My recommendation is to make sure you do NOT over bake these (but then again I really love gooey brownies). Food preparation it the way that I do works also though I know a toothpick would not come out clean if I stuck it in to check for done-ness. If you prefer your brownies to be a little bit more on the cakey aspect, you might want to cook a little bit longer. But then I won't vouch for the results! All directions for baking brownies would now suggest you let them great "completely" before slicing and serving. NOT. At least, not for me... let them cool good enough so that you don't burn yourself on the pan, but I do highly recommend you enjoy these while they are still warm and nice and extra gooey.
